This blog was motivated by my family’s experiences with dementia. I have learned that the challenges faced by people with dementia and their caregivers can be significant. I have also learned that everyone’s dementia journey is different.
The content on this page is the result of melding my personal experiences with those of my extended family, friends and colleagues. I am grateful to everyone who shared their insights, both personal and professional. My hope is that this blog will help people better understand dementia and take steps to reduce its burden.
I believe that talking openly about dementia helps to reduce the stigma associated with the disease – this enables people to get the support they need, when they need it.
Thanks for visiting!
